Late Afternoon Tai Chi

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

taichiC.I.D.E.R. presents yet another opportunity for older adults to prevent falls and stay fit.  Offered this winter/spring is a late afternoon T’ai Chi class.  The class will start on February 7th and run through March 30th and will be held at the South Hero Congregational Church on South Street.  The classes will be one hour in length, Mondays and Wednesdays starting at 4:00.

The classes will be lead by Heather Bell, an Americorps Volunteer with the Champlain Valley Agency on Aging (CVAA).  The exercises in this class are based upon the Arthritis Foundation T’ai Chi Program.  This class may improve relaxation, concentration, memory, balance, muscle stamina and more.  If you are interested in this program call the C.I.D.E.R. office at 372-6425 for more information or to sign up.  The suggested donation for this program is $2.00 per class – making the total cost, if you attend every session, $32.00.yin yang
