Volunteers Needed

Monday, February 18th, 2013

volunteer driver 1We are again (or is it still) in need of volunteers willing to provide rides for seniors and persons with disabilities to medical appointments and therapy.  A non-taxable mileage reimbursement of 56.5 cents per mile is available upon request.  A reliable auto, clean driving record, and the ability to pass some simple background checks is required.  Drive as often or as seldom as you wish.  It’s always ok to say “no” but we promise that we’ll call again!  Most trips are scheduled at least 48 hours in advance, and we don’t go in bad weather.  This is a great way to serve your community, meet some really nice folks, and earn a little pocket money!  We especially need volunteers in Isle La Motte and Alburgh, as the need for rides by eligible residents in those communities is growing faster than our pool of available drivers.   Please stop by the C.I.D.E.R. office at 324 US RT 2 South Hero, or call for 372-6425 for info.
