| One of the several fund raising activities C.I.D.E.R. has during the year is the, now famous, Apple Blossom Barn and Bake Sale. This sale, which has been held at Hackett's Orchard since 1996, is Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday over the Memorial Day weekend. During the month prior to the sale items are collected, priced and set up for display by some of C.I.D.E.R.'s more adventurous volunteers. C.I.D.E.R. is a membership organization and one of the perks of being a member is to be able to come to the sale on Friday evening - thus getting a jump on the general public. In addition to your typical "yard sale" type items there is a silent auction where bids can be made on items of greater value. The winners of the silent auction are announced on Saturday at the end of the day. |
