- EXERCISE PROGRAMS
- The Living Strong Program is an off-shoot of the Strong Living Program a community-based, group exercise program for older adults and was originally a research project coming out of Tufts University . It was designed to translate the results of research on exercise and aging into practical opportunities for older adults to exercise on a regular basis in a safe and effective way.
- Starting in early 2008 CIDER started sponsoring a t’ai chi program for older adults or persons with disabilities. In the spring of 2011 we added a second, afternoon, t’ai chi program specifically pointed at dealing with arthritics. These programs are held at the South Hero Congregational Church on Mondays and Wednesdays.
