Homes typically are not designed for easy access when you are confined to a wheelchair. C.I.D.E.R. has been asked several times in the past to assist with the creating of a ramp to aid in accessibility. In most cases the home owner has supported the purchase of materials however the labor involved has all been volunteered. The cost of a typical ramp (similar to the ones shown above) can range from $500.00 to $750.00) If you know of someone who could be helped with the installation of a ramp please contact the C.I.D.E.R. Office at 372-6425.
