C.I.D.E.R. has a number of volunteer opportunities for Grand Isle County residents. If there is something special that you would like to do please contact us at 372-6425.

These opportunities to serve your community include:

  • Driving individuals to medical appointments and other destinations (Background checks are required and a mileage reimbursement is available).  Drivers living in the Alburgh area are especially needed!
  • Delivering hot lunches (Mondays & Thursdays) through our Neighbor Meals Program to elders and persons with disabilities who are unable to get food and/or make a meal.
  • Helping to set up and serve lunches and suppers at The Neighbors congregate meal site in South Hero (Mondays & Thursdays)
  • Building wheelchair ramps and other home accessibility projects
  • Helping at fund raising events and activities
  • Folding & labeling our monthly newsletter mailing
  • Stuffing and labeling our yearly Membership Drive and Annual Fund mailings
  • Serving on the C.I.D.E.R. Board of Directors and/or committees
